I will reiterate, that it was HUGE! It appeared close enough for me to almost reach out and touch it.

i've seen news reports saying a russian satellite burning up on re-entry. no UFO's no angels of the apocalypse.

took the dogs out about 9-9:30pm and seen what i thought was a fighter jet hovering about slowly, very strange about reports of fighter jets following the object.

cant believe such a big hoo haa about this. I saw a better meteor about 10 years ago in lenoid meteor storm. Huge glowing orange tail as it glided all the way from one side of the sky to the other not breaking up.
more impressive than this thing.

on tuesday there was a BIG meteor over germany. i saw it while taking a break at work. around 8.45 in the evening. it was cloudy but this thing flew under the clouds. green-blue and big. it made a strange whistle sound while passing by. a lot of people here in bavaria saw it. but nothing on the news. i researched on the net and all i found was this picture of the object. and a few german blogs that talked about it.

I seen it last night when I was outside the bar having a smoke, it looked like something on fire with bits falling off, and it was wobbling like it was out of control. It got a whole discussion going in the bar and started a few people thinking.

So they are, good spot. Interesting coincidence they came on similar dates. Suppose we'll have to keep a watch then see what unfolds.

If I had to speculate then based on the speed they appear to be coming in at I don't think meteorites. More inclined to go for near orbit space junk.

Seen between 9.30 and 11.30pm, isnt that a long time, I always though these things lasted a few seconds. (I have no idea though, maybe it is normal)

since it was a crashing satellite it was in orbital (tangential) movement across the sky so it was in the
atmosphere for a long time. plus it was only going
about 10,000 mph, which is why it looked so slow.

little something that may apply here. when Katla in Iceland LAST went really apeshit, in the mid 1700s, strange meteors were seen in the UK THEN as well!

I'm thinking these may well be plasma phenomena, linked to the coming Icelandic clusterfuck
