I Just Made Friends with my Middle-Eastern Neighbors

Feels good to finally break the tension. They seemed very arrogant before, so when I went out for a cigarette I gave them the beer-nod and greeted them all with an "assalamu alaikum" followed up with a hearty handshake and smile.

Then I gave them a glass pipe and corresponding pouch for it. They offered me a hit of their joint which I had to refuse since I no longer partake, not sure if it was rude to do so or not.

They seem like nice people, and they love soda pop and weed which is alright with me. I explained if they ever need anything or help to not hesitate to ask, and they reciprocated the same sentiments.

I feel a greater sense of love in the local community now and I hope that they feel the same!

Anybody else have any 'spreading the love' stories to share? I would love to hear them!
