To be honest, the Taiwanese people don't really give a fuck about that island. It's mostly the media and the stupid government.
When we see the Chinese rioting over the ownership of that island, smashing shops and cars and looting and all that shit, we're just like what-the-fuck?

So your friend speaks for all of Taiwanese? Most Taiwanese hate the japanese. My parents would tell us about the occupation, and the rapes and forced servitudes.
