Oil has absolutely nothing to do with tectonic plates. | |
BRIEF User ID: 24191668 United States 09/22/2012 08:34 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The movement of tectonic plates Quoting: RDprofessor is caused by molten rock escaping from the mantle, transitioning from the asthenosphere into the lithosphere which can move the crust. The magma busts through the lithosphere. The happens at a depth of not less than 9 million feet, which is obviously a heck of a lot deeper than oil drills. [link to tectonicplates.blinkweb.com] I've often wondered what would happen if magma would puncture an oil field or gas pocket... I never forgive and I never forget I am a licensed firearm holder. I will, under protection of law, use lethal force if attacked. |

BRIEF User ID: 24191668 United States 09/22/2012 08:44 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Everything in nature has a purpose / function. What is the oil's purpose? I've always wondered this. Whatever the purpose is, we remove it and it could have consequences. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 21322430 Just as God put animals on the planet for us to use, he gave us oil and many other natural resources to use as we see fit... I never forgive and I never forget I am a licensed firearm holder. I will, under protection of law, use lethal force if attacked. |

[link to tectonicplates.blinkweb.com] You are saying its 9 million miles to the center of the Earth? You must be the biggest idiot. The diameter of the Earth is about 8,000 miles so the center for us would be about 4,000 miles. Get it right if you are trying to state facts. |

If the Earth is alive, then these things would be blood and plasma. And you know what happens when you run out of blood right? |

After hearing about abiotic oil theories I began speculating whether oil is the thing that comes out of the bottomless pit. Then I wondered if Franklin was the Angel with the key. I consider alot of different possibilities, and while these are really out there/unlikely, I thought I would share them. |
