For he shall grow upºº beforeº him as a tender plant,º and as a rootº out of a dryº ground:ºº he hath noº formº norº comeliness;º and when we shall seeºº him, [there is] noº beautyº that we should desireºº him.


"form" - Strongs H8389 - means shape, form, outline, figure, appearance

"comeliness" Strongs H1926 from H1921 = magnificence, that is, ornament or splendor:—beauty, comeliness, excellency, glorious, glory, goodly, honour, majesty.

"Beauty" Strongs 4758 =
1a) sight, phenomenon, spectacle, appearance, vision
1b) what is seen
1c) a vision (supernatural)
1d) sight, vision (power of seeing)

So, what this verse is saying - do not EXPECT the messiah to look like a GLORIOUS SUPERNATURAL BEING - instead, He will look like the rest of us. Having said that, in Luke 9:27-36 Yahushua (Jesus) did allow his disciples a glimpse of his TRUE form, or GLORIOUS appearance -
