In looking at the problem at hand; the "end of time" can only really mean a couple of things. One being the loss of free will.


Expounded upon, what if they got a machine somewhere that will begin broadcasting some total mind control beam on that date/time? Many have surmised its possibility with things like elf and gwen coupled with cell towers and as seen in dr who the cell phones themselves.


One might even look at the old gods and compare to things known now. One of the earliest was Cernunnos, which when broken down a bit looks a lot like C.E.R.N U.N. O.S.

If memory serves, I believe the old god likes slaves....
