I'm thinking about learning a programming language soon...
Any advice on which language would be the best one to start?

Either one would be advantageous along with the understanding of the systems that run these, you could be sitting on a gold mine. The people who originally wrote the code and maintained it are slowly retiring and dieing. They are not training replacements and the systems are not being replaced. Eventually they'll be replaced. Anyway, I cannot find an IT/Software engineering job in my country with modern languages. How I would be able to find for a language from the Jurassic period?
