Anonymous Coward User ID: 21300769 United States 09/23/2012 11:43 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Chicago 3rd grade inner city black teacher Quoting: Anonymous Coward 21300769 $132,000/yr Paid vacation 5months Work only 23hrs/wk Thanks for the larf (I think...) Read this and almost got mad then realized it was a joke (and the jokes on us!) Not a joke Yes u have to have a masters in child development but I can see and know why people say teachers are overpaid It is truly regurgitated reading from a lesson plan book plus babysitting Work hours are 9am-3pm & in that 1hr is naptime and 30min is lunch so it's like taking advantage of the taxpayers to the extreme Now we KNOW you're puttin' us on. Teachers are educators, baby sitters, nurses, psychologists, coaches, and many other things all wrapped up in one. They're on their feet all day, and they bring their work home with them and have to prepare for the next day's lesson. No real teacher of kids would claim they have it "easy". 9 to 3? Where do you teach? Try 7:30 or 8 to 3 or 4. Trust me, I know what you are saying and you don't get into that sort of heavy workload unless you are in 5thgrade and up I really feel for those teachers but I am not one of them. I admit, I have it easy. And by the way, most if not all Chicago schools begin at 8:45 and end at 3pm. |

BBKers User ID: 24280708 Poland 09/23/2012 11:50 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | For the past 2 years I have travelled the earth with my fiancé visiting a total of 36 countries (in 5 continents)seeing everything I dreamt of seeing and then I decided to try farming ecologically in rural Eastern Poland this spring. Worked out quite well. I have not "held a job" for these 2 years - but I still own 24% of the shares in 4 separate hotels located in a Scandinavian country. Which I built up from scratch and previously managed (not through inherited money). The profit there is around $1.000.000 annually (should be the same next year too), so you can do the math... Life is good - but I had serious burnout syndrome and a plethora of other stress related health syndromes at the end of my 8 year sejour as GM over those businesses... I see life totally differently now. And my greed is replaced by empathy and my brackets now see what the sheeple deny |

I got pretty specialized with all their systems, but after 4 1/2 years I got tired of the guys I was working with and didn't like being inside staring at computer screens all day. 4 months later, I miss the pay check. Looking for a new job now.. |

TheTruthWorker User ID: 1307920 United States 09/23/2012 12:00 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I'm a real estate entrepreneur. 10 hours a week buying and selling houses nets $120k a year. Not much of a challenge anymore. Do not use my own capital or credit. 30 hours a week helping other real estate entrepreneurs close deals nets me $144k a year as consultant, author, speaker. I really enjoy helping my clients solve issues and be successful. 20 hours a week listening to YouTube subscription feeds and hanging out on GLP, exploring external links. I'm an addicted conspiracy and doomtard since Jan 2011. Hoping for karmic payback. Classic gulper. Making more money than I am now not important today. Already own my own business, schedule my days as I see fit, walk to work, got the best home, etc. However looking soon to free up my committed weekly time and payoff real estate debt faster. Got a new super fast laptop, iPhone 5, recreational toys, etc. |
