I can't believe I spent $80 for only food that includes breakfast and dinner for a week! | |

It does pay to take a few mins of your day to scope out sale prices on items that you use often and stock up on things that will not perish fast. You can actually price match those sales prices at Walmart so you only have to go to one store. Another thing, shop your farmers market when in season. Coupons are always good to match with those sales prices when you can. "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come." |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 8649211 What is going on?? Prices are going to the roof as we speak! Well, obviously you are a RASSISS! who hates the idea of a black man in the White house. Why else would you note such a politically-incorrect and inconvenient thing such as rising food prices? Don't you know that FOOD INFLATION isn't possible under The Messiah Obama, and is just a creation of the imaginations of Glenn Beck and Fox News? Just ask ANYONE at ABC/CBS/NBC/MSNBC/CNN/E!/Pacifica/NPR/WashTimes/MotherJones/Huffington/Politico/NYTIMES!! |

I spend about 380.00 a month to feed my family of 4 and get a lot of stuff for free with coupons. Maybe if they turned the economy off and then turned it back on it might run better. Works for my computer. |

| Anonymous Coward User ID: 1290518 09/23/2012 01:30 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | yes, prices are really starting to hurt people. I have been warning people for 7 years now, stock up on foods, rotate your storaged food, buy stuff on sale, always buy a few extra can's of beans or bags of dried beans. Garden, can, dehydrate, nobody does it but me. If they garden most of them won't bother to can or dehyrate. It's a full time job, people can kiss my ass that think because I don't have a job outside the house I don't do anything. I raised 4 kids, I have sewn clothes, bought secondhand and garage sale stuff, do couponing, garden, can, freeze dehyrate, cook large meals to make left overs etc etc etc it's a full time frigging job and I loved every last sweaty, hot, hard back breaking moment of it, thank you Jesus for letting me take care of my husband and kids. now, people will be starving soon. buy seeds now for next year, but them in the freezer. never too late to take a few k outta the bank and buy some food that is on sale, freeze it, dehyrate it. You can live a long time on tomato juice, pasta and get some vitamins also for the whole family. do it now. |

Plant fruit trees, veggies, potatoes, create some pigs/chickens, etc. If you can get a house with a well with safe, water the best. My wife's dad has been doing this for some years now, and he just buy some random stuff for his daily eating, but 80% or more comes from his own house/land. The only thing he still uses from the loop is electricity. |
