I was just reading about this:

Showing up in 10 ounce bars now. If this drives the price down for a short while, it may be smart to buy 1/10th oz. Easy to test, and not worth the trouble for counterfeiters to fake.

It would drive the price UP. Supply issues, less of product equals higher prices.... and mine production has been decreasing over the last decade. Check your facts.

LOL!! What possible use would God have for silver or gold?

The amount of “salted tungsten” gold bars in question was allegedly between 5,600 and 5,700 – 400 oz – good delivery bars [roughly 60 metric tonnes]. This was apparently all highly orchestrated by an extremely well financed criminal operation.

Within mere hours of this scam being identified – Chinese officials had many of the perpetrators in custody.

And here’s what the Chinese allegedly uncovered:

Roughly 15 years ago – during the Clinton Administration [think Robert Rubin, Sir Alan Greenspan and Lawrence Summers] – between 1.3 and 1.5 million 400 oz tungsten blanks were allegedly manufactured by a very high-end, sophisticated refiner in the USA [more than 16 Thousand metric tonnes].
Subsequently, 640,000 of these tungsten blanks received their gold plating and WERE shipped to Ft. Knox and remain there to this day. I know folks who have copies of the original shipping docs with dates and exact weights of “tungsten” bars shipped to Ft. Knox.

The balance of this 1.3 million – 1.5 million 400 oz tungsten cache was also plated and then allegedly “sold” into the international market. Apparently, the global market is literally “stuffed full of 400 oz salted bars”.
Makes one wonder if the Indians were smart enough to assay their 200 tonne haul from the IMF?

"With an eye made quiet by the power of harmony and the deep power of joy, we see into the life of things." William Wordsworth

And yet the same revolutionary beliefs for which our forebears fought are still at issue around the globe—the belief that the rights of man come not from the generosity of the state, but from the hand of God.

John F. Kennedy Inaugural Address

Lincoln's economic advisor Henry C. Carey explained the universal issue in his 1851 Harmony of Interests:

"Two systems are before the world.... One looks to pauperism, ignorance, depopulation, and barbarism; the other to increasing wealth, comfort, intelligence, combination of action, and civilization. One looks towards universal war; the other towards universal peace. One is the English system; the other ... the American system, for ... elevating while equalizing the condition of man throughout the world."

Re: 60 Tonnes of Tungsten filled Gold Bars found in Asian Depository
tidbits, and, questions...

So, who's been buying 'tonnes' of tungsten? The jewelry industry? Or, who's a known manufacture of these bars? Is this a new practice, recently discovered?

According to wikipedia:

China produced 51,000 tonnes of tungsten concentrate in 2009, which was 83% of the world output. In the prelude to WWII China's production of tungsten played a role as China could use this leverage to demand material assistance from the US government.

Most of the remaining production originated from Russia (2,500 t), Canada (1,964 t), Bolivia (1,023 t), Austria (900 t), Portugal (900 t), Thailand (600 t), Brazil (500 t), Peru (500 t) and Rwanda (500 t). Tungsten is also considered to be a conflict mineral due to the unethical mining practices observed in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Gold substitution

Its density, similar to that of gold, allows tungsten to be used in jewelry as an alternative to gold or platinum.

Metallic tungsten is harder than gold alloys (though not as hard as tungsten carbide), and is hypoallergenic, making it useful for rings that will resist scratching, especially in designs with a brushed finish.

Because the density is so similar to gold (tungsten is only 0.36% less dense), tungsten can also be used in counterfeiting of gold bars, such as by plating a tungsten bar with gold, which has been observed since the 1980s, or taking an existing gold bar, drilling holes, and replacing the removed gold with tungsten rods. The densities are not exactly the same, and other properties of gold and tungsten differ, but gold-plated tungsten will pass superficial tests.

~~~~~~~~~~`
Considering that this exact counterfeiting method had been around for decades, you'd think that authorities would have a better handle on keeping tabs on such things.
This is all very fishy on any number of levels, to say the very least.
Gold-plated tungsten is available commercially from China (the main source of tungsten), both in jewelry and as bars
not necessarily. This is not a movement along the supply curve, but a shift of the supply curve to the left (quantity supplied vs supply).
most important is what this does to demand. this would cause a situation where it is not a movement along the demand curve (change in quantity demanded), but a change in demand (shift of the demand curve left).
Both curves shift left. Price would be determined by which shift is greater. Very well could be that the price stays roughly the same, but the quantity is much less. With October futures due Tuesday, this very well could scare off enough of the "take delivery crowd" that keeps it a little more stable. After all, what are we talking about? keeping stability until the election...what is it, 44 days?
Remember Tuesday is options expiry on the October Gold/Silver contracts.
They are trying to keep people from buying on the selloff that they create. (Take down coming?) Also from taking possession of the physical gold from these options contracts.
Huge week for option and other trading events. Also remember its the end of the 3rd quarter.
Here is a calander of all the trading events : Take out space
In all honesty, what good will all that gold do anyone? Can you eat it? Will it keep you warm when it gets cold? When the SHTF and money is worthless what good will a shiny metal do you? It will only have a worth if someone else can use it for something. And in a full collapse what will be important to most people will be food and shelter. I have a small flock of chickens that produce eggs. Those eggs have value. My neighbor had a garden this summer and canned quite a bit of vegetables. That food has value. The farmer down the street has a large herd of cows that produce milk. That milk has value. You sit in your house and look at all your gold and silver coins and only think you have something of value. Well, I hope you find a real good recipe for that gold cause your gonna get mighty hungry. If you come to my house and want some eggs, you better have something other than gold coins to trade. The same is true for the dairy farmer and the gardener.
What you need to do is trade in all that metal and buy something that will be of real trade value. Look for things that someone can use right away. Look for people around you that have something you will need and figure out what they will need. That's how you will survive the coming storm. Because the way things are going, you are not gonna have any place to "spend" all that gold anyways. That's if the government doesn't come and take it all from you.
Yes, Gold works in the kind of functioning society we find ourselves in right now.Once this system of enforced trust and many of its assumptions and factors taken for granted break down. It will likely revert to the wild wild west WITHOUT the sheriff!
Which is exactly what seems to be happening internationally between nations. Like the USA and certain European nations invasion of several middle eastern countries blaming everything on so called "Terrorist". And the UN and ICC doing absolutely nothing to set things straight. And the tension between Japan and China over some Island etc. In a real sense this IS the New World order!
Having gold may not be any cure all. I guess a secret stash of gold coins carefully hidden and kept secret might be of use from time to time. But people can steal Cows and vegetables and grain in much the same way do gold, diamonds or silver.
Know-how and survival skills might turn out to be the ultimate commodity.
Of course, a lot of Americans would prefer to die rather than live under such conditions.
They will hear that gold is fake and then they will invest in something else.
Think about it. If all that you heard on the MSM is about all of the fake gold in circulation would you buy it?
I wouldn't doubt that this is all a false flag to keep average Joes from investing in PMs.
You "pull" that gold out of there before the building hits the ground.. right.?
Can you believe that Larry had that the forethought to haul all that gold (dump-trucks) up from the bunker to the loading docks, lined up & ready to "pull" out.. in under 45.minutes.?
..& they missed it by -->|<- that much.?
Well it was the crime of the century.
That band Supertramp told us on their album cover that it was Crime of the Century:
[link to 2.bp.blogspot.com]
flip the MP in Supertramp and you get 911 and the 11 is the two towers one of them having that radio antenna spike.
Logo that says Crime of the Century is gold covered.
Go look at the Die Hard movies, number 3 movie has them steal all the gold as you remember, in both.
They gave some hints in that movie Die Hard 3:
00:34 to 00:38 a shadowed plane is flying into shadowed skyskraper
01:13 to 01:31 first bombing of the Bonwit department store
At 09:11 Zeus tells his nephews to dial 911...
33:09 to 33:11 shots of the twin towers... 33 and 9 11...
At 34:25 big clock in subway says: 10:19:11 that's 911 in two direction.
47:49 a mirrored 911 sign.
50:06 talks about wolrd trade center bombing 1993
in the first movie they have several clues:
9 years 11 years dialogue at the start of film.
01:19 into the movie the guy says the 9 years
At 46 minutes into the film you see the Nakatomi tower
and the signs at the gas station
74 911
and
77 911
[link to www.av1611.org]
Explosion in Nakatomi building
at into the movie 116 33 (1 hour 16 minutes and 33 seconds)
upside down it's 33 911 on the display.
Sgt Al Powell talks about getting 2 explosions for 1 some time after this explosion.
