MuzzleBreak User ID: 24093044 United States 09/23/2012 08:30 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | We have not finished the solar minimum, so cosmic rays counts should still be increasing. There was a weird short-lived dip in the Earth's magnetic field as shown by the GOES satellites yesterday. This was the likely cause of the spike, IMO and FWIW. Some info on neutron counters: [link to wattsupwiththat.com] The Bartol Research Institute of the University of Delaware manages five real-time neutron monitors, at widely dispersed locations, all of which indicate that over the last six months cosmic rays are increasing. This would not support the hypothesis that we are past solar minimum and suggests that solar minimum has not yet been reached. John A. Simpson, at the University of Chicago, invented and developed the neutron monitor over the years 1948-50 and found that the Earth’s magnetic field could be used as a spectrometer to allow measurements of the cosmic ray spectrum down to low primary energies. The magnetic latitude of a particular neutron monitor determines the lowest magnetic rigidity of a primary that can reach the monitor, the so-called “cut-off rigidity”. The station’s altitude determines the amount of absorbing atmosphere above the station and hence the amount of absorption of the secondary cosmic rays (the higher the station, the higher the counting rate). In his book, "Between Two Ages," Brzezinski wrote: "The technetronic era involves the gradual appearance of a more controlled society. Such a society would be dominated by an elite, unrestrained by traditional values." MuzzleBreak |

shadasonic User ID: 15732022 United States 09/23/2012 08:35 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Not sure if this has to do with the Atlantic Anomaly, it's still intriguing though especially given the data regarding the Gamma Ray Burst. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 24191842 What intrigues me is that the right chart on the side by side doesn't register anything at all. Did it just get inundated with data? Or did they purposefully shut it off? Safe to say, this whole "Glitching" thing that the shills are bringing out in full force is bunk. Agreed “One of the saddest lessons of history is this: If we’ve been bamboozled long enough, we tend to reject any evidence of the bamboozle. We’re no longer interested in finding out the truth. The bamboozle has captured us. It’s simply too painful to acknowledge, even to ourselves, that we’ve been taken. Once you give a charlatan power over you, you almost never get it back.” – Carl Sagan |

I'm more interested in the videos in the OP, why the one on the right-hand side just registers no data at all, while the left-handed one records huge cosmic bursts. |

So is this graph comparable to the one in the vidya? I have been keeping my eyes on these, as they can induce seismic activity. What I like to explain to folks is that they are point specific. There are many sensors spread through out the world. Cosmic rays can strike certain regions depending on where in space they are traveling from. Where ever the spike is then that is where in space they are coming from. They can effect both night and day sides. That is why you will see a spike in one region and complete flat line in all others. Seismic prone areas can be triggered by these ground reaching cosmic rays. |
