I am torn between hating the police or thanking them for this.

So many shots. That was just unnecessary. What happens in the US? Is it that when one fires they all fire? Is it so that the shooting cannot be put down to one person?

That's murder. A man with a knife, standing some feet away from half dozen police with guns drawn, the man not lunging at anyone, and all trained to use nonlethal force too, supposedly. Seems they've been trained to shoot first, kill, then ask no questions later.

Yes. The acting in unison provides other so-called professional opinions in that exact situation. The defense will argue that all the other officers responded similarly to the perceived threat so you shouldn't hold my client responsible, etc. The ballistics would eventually show who all shot who and how many times, unless you're in Dallas.
