No I wasn't around in the 50's, being that I wasn't conceived until sometime in late '67. That said, I have done substantial research on the subject and I challenge the entire vaccine theory going all the way back to smallpox. But since you are focusing on Polio, what is your take on this:

(NaturalNews) The mainstream media has been busy hailing the supposed success of India's polio vaccine campaign over the past few years, with many news outlets now claiming that the disease has been fully eradicated throughout the country. But what these misinformation puppets are failing to disclose is the fact that cases of non-polio acute flaccid paralysis (NPAFP), a much more serious condition than that caused by polio, have skyrocketed as a result of the vaccine's widespread administration.

A recent report published in the Indian Journal of Medical Ethics (IJME) explains that, clinically, NPAFP is indistinguishable from polio paralysis. But according to the Office of Medical & Scientific Justice (OMSJ), NPAFP is twice as deadly as polio paralysis, and yet was not even an issue in India prior to the rollout of the massive polio vaccine campaigns.

In 2011, for instance, the year in which India was declared to be polio-free, there were 47,500 known cases of NPAFP, which is a shockingly high figure under the circumstances. And based on data collected from India's National Polio Surveillance Project, cases of NPAFP across India rose dramatically in direct proportion to the number of polio vaccines administered, which suggests that the vaccines were responsible for spurring the rapid spread of this deadly condition.

Similarly, cases of vaccine-associated polio paralysis (VAPP), a condition in which paralytic symptoms similar or identical to those caused by wild-type polio manifest themselves following the administration of polio vaccines, are also on the rise. Not only are the paralysis symptoms associated with NPAFP and VAPP typically far worse than those brought about by wild-type polio, but they can also accompany other negative side effects including neurological damage.

Fact: Vaccines have never been proven safe or effective. We see children and adults get maimed or die from vaccines. We also see outbreaks of harmless childhood diseases among vaccinated populations.

Fact: Vaccine safety and effectiveness is determined by tests conducted by the very companies that manufacture them.

I'll give you an example of their studies. Let's say you get 100 smokers and none of them have Alzheimer's. You can then say smoking prevents Alzheimer's. That is about as scientific as their vaccine safety and effectiveness tests go.

Why would the government permit businesses that have to answer to shareholders, manufacture something so dangerous and invasive? Obviously their priority is maximizing profit for shareholders or management faces replacement. Do you think these scum care about our kids' long term health or selling more vaccines?

If this industry were so precious and important to the survival of the human race, then the government should create their own facility with tax money and remove greed from the equation.

Yes, big pharma has a vested interest in our "health". In fact, they are just about guaranteeing more repeat customers once these kids/adults are vaccine injured, especially our youth. Nothing better than a lifetime customer.

If you want people to respect your choices as a parent, you need to respect others' as well. It's a 2-way street.

I choose to vaccinate and send my children to public school where they will only be around other vaccinated children. You have every right not to vaccinate your children, and I will respect that, but you must respect my decision to protect my children from yours, and either send your children to a private school in line with your beliefs, or homeschool them.

I just have a simple rebuttal: if your children are vaccinated against all these hyped up diseases, why are you concerned since they now have lifetime immunity as the theory goes? Your children have built-in protection?

And may I ask you why do you make the connection between a vaccination campaign and polio disappearing? How do you know that the two events are directly correlated? How can you be sure it was the vaccine and not something else - a mix of factors perhaps?

How do you know that polio did not naturally go away by itself? How do you know it was not a manufactured disease, or a falsely-labelled, counterfeit one? How do you know the symptoms were not caused by some sort of environmental and/or climatic change? How do you know it was not due to food or water intoxication? How do you know it was not a psychosomatic phenomenom due to fear and mass hysteria?

You can send them to school, just simply have your exemptions in place.

In most states, even homeschoolers have to be up to date on their vaccines. (Iowa is one of those states)

Unvaccinated kids are healthier than vaccinated kids.

Once again, did you even read my original post?? Or the repost where I bolded the answer to this question? Vaccines are NOT 100% effective. There is still a small risk that an infectious person could infect a vaccinated person. This is why a large enough percentage of the population (around 95%) needs to be vaccinated; to help proved a barrier protecting the few who aren't immune.

Again, it's a 2-way street. If you want me to respect your choices as a parent, no matter how ignorant I may believe them to be, you must respect my choices as a parent, no matter how ignorant you believe them to be. My vaccinated children go to public school, and your unvaccinated ones should go to private school or be homeschooled. It's the only way to be fair to everyone.

You are the one who misinformed! Polio rates were dropping, along with measles, whopping cough, ect.. mainly due to better diets and hygiene. Polio rates stated to climb only after the vaccines were give, and it was the vaccinated ones who were getting polio.

Try doing research. Oh, and by research, I mean a non government/ pharma funded one.

Oh, and your little emotion card about not being around.. nice try. I had a relative with polio, and guess what? They had been vaccinated prior to contracting the illness.

The theory of exposing the body to a dead virus or bacteria to allow it to build a defense to it before it actually has to defend from the live substance is a sound and proven practice.

However…

It is the preservatives the pharmacy companies are adding to the vaccines to lengthen their shelf life that is causing all the harm.

I am a firm believer of the vaccination process, just not the formaldehyde, aluminum and mercury that is added to increase the shelf life of the product.

Take out the preservatives and I would gladly participate.

Vaccines did NOT save us. All deaths from childhood illnesses were on their way down prior to the widespread use of vaccines, even for diseases that do not have a vaccine.

When the small pox vaccine was widely used, the death rate from small pox actually went up, not down.

Better food, better water & better sanitation is what saved us. We weren't dumping raw sewage in the streets. People learned to better ways to keep food.
