The US embassy located in Manila is safe here in the Philippines.
The only area dangerous for foreigners here in the Philippines is the Mindanao area.
Most Muslims here in the Manila area are concerned with making profits from their pirated DVD/shoes business. Filipino Muslims are not as radical as their other south east Asian counterparts.
