It makes sense to deny them nuclear abilities because they have repeatedly threatened surrounding nations with armed responses. It makes sense to deny them nuclear abilities because if they were to get them, the Saudi's and others have stated publicly that they would get them too if Iran had them.

The reason for that being that Iranians are Persians. NOT ARABS. Arabs and Persians have a LONG history of going to war with each other. If you throw them in with the Arabs as being the same thing then you are deluding yourself. And if you think that Iran wouldn't strike against Iraq again, or Israel, or Oman or any of the others which it deems a threat then you are also deluding yourself.

Iran getting a nuclear weapon (in the realities of the world today with neo-cons and warmongers abound from politicians to the media) would be devastating to the region and the world as it wouldn't stop at Iran then.

You have a list of good reasons. But perhaps the best reason is so the west can push them around without fear of the end result. Who do you know that has had huge sanctions used against it that has the bomb. sk

Seeing as how Iran is one of the few remaining countries that hasn't joined the world banking system, you might look to that as an underlying cause for all the rhetoric against Iran. How can you have a new world order when there are hold outs. sk

Most of the alleged threats such as wiping israel off the map have been proven media lies. Israel is the only one really attacking anyone. We should take away their nukes if nobody else can have them.

It isn't because they are a Muslim country. (although that is bad enough) It's because their leaders the Ayatollah’s believe it is their duty to create as much death and destruction as possible to bring about the revealing of the Mahdi that they claim is already here and that they are in communication with now. It's because their mouthpiece Amanutjob has publicly proclaimed that Israel will be wiped out.

There is big a difference between responsible people having weapons for self defense and maniacal global jihadists who want to kill everyone for their demon god.

at the end of the day. nuclear power is unsafe. and very stupid. there are so many other way's to harness energy. it boggles the mind. why don't they just look at being a modern and model islamic society. nuclear is not the way to go. so we must then ask ourselves. why are they still persistent to want this type of energy. they probably already have nuclear weapons anyway
