So once again: There was no cell network in 1928 for a cell or mobile phone to communicate through. Unless he's talking to the bridge of the Enterprise, and they've come back in time to rescue yet another thing-that-they-don't-have-in-the-25th-century-that-some-alie​n-ship-is-wreaking-havoc-on-earth-unless-they-hear-from-said-​thing-plot-device.

Yes and how do you know they even NEED that in the future, could be a completely different type of communication. If they can send a person through time, there is no reason they can not send the communication itself through time, NO NEED for cell networks! Completely different technology than you know of NOW, how ignorant people are

This is crap. You have to have cell phone towers, etc. to use a cell phone. Which they didn't have in the 20's.
