The fact is that at 15 years of age the kid should have know better and behaved without driving someone to the extreme behavior of spanking. The problem begins with the parents who have not bothered to teach their offspring how to behave or act in public and thus they end up acting like privileged self-centered cretins.

If the children bothered to listen and apply themselves to their schoolwork, would we as a country still be dropping to third world educational levels? If your child was in the first grade and was talking in class and the teacher rapped their knuckles with a ruler just what would you do scream and sue.

Guess what many years go I came home and told my parents that the teacher hit my hand with a ruler and when asked I told them why which resulted in more punishment and a long lecture. It was definitely an attitude adjustment for me as after that I paid attention and caused no further distractions for the teacher.
