The pulsing glow could be caused by what ever type of energy it is mixing with oxygen...

Maybe...but an alien (ET) life form could use a type of energy we have not even thought of or ever know about... So not a craft, a bioform? why haven't we seen them before recent times? I wonder of they float, or just switch off and cloak after entry onto the atmos.? perhaps interaction with the electromagnetic fields create the pulsating light. the field gives it form in 3d.
