I live in Tokyo and I'm 9 months pregnant. According to this video my newborn will die after I give birth. I hope that doesn't happen, but if it does, I'll let you know. (I hiiiiiiiiiiiighly doubt it will happen though.)

GREAT POST, citizenperth... CITIZEN OF THE WORLD, should be your handle/avatar, IMHO !

Between you and waterbug your STAYING on the topic that WILL eventually kill us around the world. Dread that a CME or flare will shut down all electricity for 4-10 years. THEN, they ALL MELT DOWN, while the villains HIDE in their underground bunkers, PAID FOR by the citizens that will die.

Wonder what will power their electrical needs for 4-10 years !

Thanks for you untiring work/dedication to the rest of humanity. I only checked milk sold in CT, USA and reported GAMMA radiation in April, 2011 that would cumulatively poison the drinkers in a posted thread. You go SO much further, it is incredible the effort you and the 'bug' exert !

I haven't watched the video yet and I think I always take your posts a little off topic but 1dunno1 did you read the recent information about cesium levels on units 5 and 6?

In the beginning I thought there were 8 problem reactors and but since there was no reporting about that I guess it was just a wrong suspicion. 1 2 3 4---5 6

I am sure that is a great video but really most people are probably putting it on the homework list because it is so long.
 Quoting: WindyMind

they also failed to report the truth about dainni and it was a cover up.. do me a favour and watch the vid windy... it really does the homework for you... my stuff is only a conglomeration of the timeline and an archive.... saying that i have communication with helen, buzby, mochi, fairwinds and others... saves trolling through tweets and other stuff... i simply keep a chronology from when we got hit by site bans during last aug-dec...
 Quoting: citizenperth

You tend to post when it is bedtime for me, I relented and watched the beginning and at first it looked like a slam on Obama right before his re-election and I got a little disturbed right there so then I watched some more and I ran into having already seen it and it was time to go to bed. I have 2 of your posts on-I will get to that when I am in the mood. I will really. :)

Timezones, what a bummer.

I completely believe that the Japanese authorities have downplayed the danger of Fukushima but at the same time if the radiation at the site is as bad as many say why are the trees not turning red like they did at Chernobyl?

How reliable are the tree colours as an indicator of how much radiation is coming out? If not much then what is different from Chernobyl where they turned red very quickly?

Right but it was radiation which killed the trees and turned them red. Chernobyl was an explosion as you say and that is why they went red very very quickly but surely after 18 months at least the trees on site and around the site should have accumulated enough radiation to turn red if as much radiation has been released as many on here fear.

You might find this paper interesting.
The study doesn't deal with vegetation specifically but draws biological effects conclusions, nonetheless.

Study accepted June 1, 2012.

[snip]

There were significant differences between Fukushima and
Chernobyl in the nature of the disaster as well as the type and the
amounts of radionuclides that were released to the environment.
Currently, for terrestrial ecosystems, in Fukushima cesium-134 and
cesium-137 predominate (Kinoshita et al., 2011), while in Cher-
nobyl cesium-137, strontium-90, various isotopes of plutonium,
and americium-241 are found at biologically significant levels
across the landscape (Voitsekhovich et al., 2007), and differential
sensitivity to these mixtures could account for some of the differ-
ences in biological responses observed between sites.

Cesium 137, with a half-live of about 30 years, decays by beta
emission primarily to a meta-stable isomer of barium-137, which
is responsible for the gamma emissions of this isotope (Baum et al.,
2002). Thus if ingested, cesium-137 will generate both beta and
gamma doses for living organisms. Cesium-134 that has a half-life
of about 2 years is exclusively a beta emitter and is thus mainly a
concern if ingested.
Strontium-90, with a half-life of about 29 yrs, is almost a pure
beta emitter.

Most isotopes of plutonium are alpha emitters and are thus pri-
marily of concern if ingested. However, plutonium-241, which is
present to a significant degree in the Chernobyl region, has a half-
life of about 14 yrs, and decays via beta emissions to americium-241
(half life of 432 years), which in turn decays via alpha emissions
to neptunium-237, with gamma emissions as an additional by-
product.

Although handheld Geiger counters are likely to provide reli-
able measures of background contamination levels of radionuclides
for gamma sources, and to a lesser degree for beta emitters, if
the Geiger detector is in close proximity to the source, char-
acterization of alpha emitters usually requires more complex
measurement methods that are usually only tractable in a labora-
tory setting due to the short transmission distance of alpha particles
in air.

Given the different characteristics of radionuclides in the envi-
ronment at Fukushima and Chernobyl, field measurements of
contaminant levels are likely to underestimate biologically rel-
evant radiation levels in Chernobyl when the main exposure
pathway is via ingestion. Similarly, background radiation mea-
sures in the areas of Chernobyl closest to the reactor (e.g. the
Red Forest) are very likely to underestimate biologically rele-
vant doses given the abundance of alpha emitting actinides (e.g.
plutonium isotopes) that were differentially deposited in this
area.

I live in Northern California, in Sonoma County. Seems to be directly where this fallout is traveling and finding its resting place.

I'm having a hard time finding data on the environmental effects in my area. Does anyone know of any particular expert who could provide this info?

You have quite the contact list. What is going on there?

here's something i researched and can't quite fathom... tabacco plants are very high yield and propergation... ever wonderded why smokes didn't knock of the old WWII diggers.. good into their nineties... now they knock us ver in the 30's-50's... apparently it is the uptake of all the stuff left over from the 50's+ testing, and auto biological internal contamination even with filters.... that's the buzz about passive smoking... nukes... they are good for you.....

I can say more now about the video, the ending part where the ocean is completely polluted is awful. On the one hand I wonder how much pollution there is (thinking very much) and on the other no one is really saying anything about it. This video says something about it but it is a worst case scenario. Helen went into worst case scenario or it was the end of the world right when the SHTF and since then I have thought of her as an extremist and I don't agree with Helen. She might be right.

#4 catching fire and exploding the fuel storage is the other big hit, it could happen.

I think I am done.

i think it is kinda simple.... "wow! we found a big bomb!"

..how do we make it... well... it has to keep cool but makes heaps of steam... so lets hide the bomb factories and cities world wide, and then create power AND a BOMB!...

... cool.... how do we maintain the plants... ummm.. well you can't because they're deadly....

.... oh.. how do we get rid of the highly deadly waste?

a. depleted uranium weapons at those you want to kill...
b. we'll think about it later......
c. back in the 70's they told us it was green and clean.. and we all clapped hands together.. until now.....

the amount of mark 1 reactors globally, as explained in the report is troubling.. think of all the stuff you can't get near to fix.... think of a 1950's car running today without tender love and care... this is the cold war haunting us today...... moreover, think of the movie 'chin syndrome' 4+ underway 24/7.... no reports... emergency globally.. maybe that's why we are left as a sheeple.....
