who pays for these shrinking lunches??? the students?
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 23966417 the tax payers Yes, the students pay about $1. That is unless you are one of the 47% who don't ever pay for much of anything like the rest of us. There is a huge "free lunch" program from the federal government that provides the meals free for a large number of students. Supposed to qualify by income and size of household much like food stamps. Many schools also now provide breakfast as well. Some parents just can't be bothered. Here the parents of probably 35% of these kids spend all their government cash on booze and alcohol. I was standing in the grocery line one day...the man in front of me had two kids that were saying,"dad, I am hungry!" he ignored them and bought a six pack of beer... Moochelle has two kids in a private school that charges over 40,000 a year to attend...she has forgotten all about the reality of poor children.
