10 years ago, i survived a serious car accident. i hit a patch of black ice. my pickup truck sailed upside down thru the air for 100 feet and smashed flat as a pancake when it landed.
my wife was traveling in a car in front of me and witnessed the accident.
my injuries were slight but i knew i needed to stand up as soon as i could so that my wife would see that i was alive when she turned around.
as i stood there shivering, a young gentleman found my coat, shook the broken glass out of it, and helped me put it on.
i don't remember what he said to me, except that it was comforting, and he assured me that he would stay there until help arrived.
i remember that he talked as the ambulance arrived with my wife's car right behind.
the young man wished me the best as the paramedics put me in the ambulance and my wife followed us to the hospital.
i was released from the hospital with a couple of cracked ribs an d a few cuts.
later i asked my wife if she thanked the nice stranger who helped me .
she looked puzzled and said that she could see me from a distance and that the traffic was heavy so that it took a few minutes to reach me.

Ok. I just went outside to smoke and saw a cat that at first I thought was one of mine that somehow slipped past me and got outside.

I watched the cat for a few moments, and then realized that since my cat would never just go out into the open lawn and sit down like he owned the place, it must not be him. He has never been outside here, so there's no way he could be so calm out there.

The cat did look a lot like him though. It's strange that I have never noticed that particular cat around here before.

So I whispered loudly 'Billy!'. It startled him and he looked around suddenly.

My two cats chase my pitbull puppy around...it's funny... but they don't realize she will soon be able to reach them lol

They probably figure they should train your puppy now and hope it takes in adulthood.

They are pretty clever if you ask me. ;)

I let them play cause that is what they are doing...Georgia my puppy is gentle. I tell them to calm down and be nice and they usually are...it gets crazy though. Cat's jumping off chairs...dog barking like crazy. I turn up my music and laugh let them have fun for a bit :)

I am lonely, sad at times, but grateful for the things I do have. Grateful for the pure love that is shown to me. I have food in my stomache a shitty house I rent but it's a home...a car...so for that I need to give thanks to the creator :) It could be so much worse...
