Wow,it seems something really wants to make this place a radioactive planet by having the eyes on the greater radioactive areas.

I just hope it isn't Cern.

What about lightning hitting the drilling platform? We have an a-bomb sitting here just waiting to go BOOM. Like we need terrorist. We made our own dirty bomb here it sounds like. Remember,"never let a good catastrophe go to waste". This could be bad peps. Could this set the madrid fault off? Was Edgar Cayce correct? Did they dump a bunch of crap from the Gulf in there and synthia[corex] is eating through the walls?

So is it going to blow up the butane deposit now?
 Quoting: BRIEF

i guess not, because if the failure released the butane it would have already exploded.

seems like its doom off because doomers said if it collapsed, BOOM! Well it collapsed and no BOOM.

I suppose now, further deterioration of the walls between the two areas is the focus. those fall in, then BOOOOM i guess.

No doom is NOT OFF!! Becuase they now KNOW that the gas that's bubbling everywhere isn't form the actual well, smartass!!

Also, the cavern full of butane is NOT the cavern under the sinkhole, 'tardbanger.

The components are ready but the wick has not been lit yet. Need something to start the boom. ..Like lightning or sparks from drilling..

Can somebody please explain whether:

-the dome's contents DISAPPEARED
-they settled on lower grounds
-they were never even there
-they evapourated
-they leaked into a nearby dome

Something's seems VERY fishy....

If you took 60 fucking seconds, and read the fucking article, you would know that they're apparently NO AT THE BOTTOM!! THis is why it is 1,300 shallower than before.. Fucking shit man, no offense but READ!! OP posted it within the first few posts, the fact that the well has lost depth! Everything from the top fell in, and went to the bottom of the dome. It's probably earthquake related, because of gas/oil/magma movement in that area..

AN in my opinion this IS related to Simmon's theory of mega-gas deposits..

Re: SINKHOLE DOOM: Salt Dome Failure has been CONFIRMED!
This is a salt dome and not a salt mine (A lot less open space for clean, non-brine water to fill up - So melting of the salt dome will take more time.

We should see another big sink hole open up if a second salt cavern is breached. If you hear about a second sink hole forming THEN I would bet its more likely to hear of an explosion.

It's a race between these oil companies to drain their caverns, and the ground water to eat away at the inside of the salt dome. Eventually they salt dome will totally fail, it will just depend on underground water tables and flows as to how quickly.

I have no doubt though that if there was another east coast quake right now it would speed things up immensely here.

Take it easy man.... but it's just that 1,300 ft of "things" cannot suddenly collapse/disappear/evaporate.... do you think this USUALLY happens in OTHER domes too???? sorry, but lulz

There is something very weird which is NOT BEING told... f. ex. WHAT was in this dome and WHERE it went.... For the time being I'd guess anybody cares about the WHEN and WHY

There is no such thing as SHRINKING/COMPRESSING from 4,000 to 2,700 ft......

Instead of READING try THINKING next time ;) no offense

I dont give a damn about a stupid sink hole...

I dont care, about the salt cavern underneath it...

I just want to know.

WHEN, is all the Butane, going blow up and explode like a spectacular A Bomb?

The rest of the news about this Sink Hole? = a waste of reading time...

Assumption Parish officials have been advised by DNR [Louisiana Department of Natural Resources] that their exploratory well observers have confirmed that brine cavern #3 has failed.

“The tool used to measure cavern depth bottomed out at approximately 4,000 feet – a point estimated to be 1,300 feet higher than the floor had been measured prior to the cavern closure in 2011."

READ it HERE: [link to enenews.com]

AND HERE: [link to assumptionla.wordpress.com]

Also, the Parish blog states the following:

It has come to our attention that Texas Brine’s press release was released to the media at 10:31 p.m. last night, prior to consulting with parish and state officials. Parish officials are not in agreement with Texas Brine’s preliminary conclusion that their well was damaged by “regional-scale seismic activity” (earthquakes).

Getting Juicy here, people!! Texas Brine may have made their press release late at night to prevent the officials from a.) fucking them over, b.) switching the story, c.) suppressing information, or d.) all of the above.

Official parish blog is HERE: [link to assumptionla.wordpress.com]

Seems like they're NOT happy about this info getting out.. DOOM ON!

would be an interesting twist if lava started coming up from the sinkhole area since gas is being forced out from all over the place maybe it's becoming volcanically active again.

I did see a video about a extinct(supposedly)volcano in one of the states beside Louisiana. I think Alabama or Georgia I can't remember of hand, maybe someone who knows could chime in on this thought. 1dunno1

Why sign a petition to get the federal gov't involved? There is a media blackout and you don't honestly think the intructions to do so are coming from the local yocals do you? The locals are getting their orders from somewhere else and I bet its not state gov't. Look at the mess and coverup with BP oil spill. Look people, we're on our own. Thats far too close for comfort....there has also been renewed activity again at the SOuthern end of the Salton Sea today...something is going on underneath the whole area......it can only get worse and is looking more and more like the movement of magma throughout the whole region...

and somehow it is also related to the Virgin Island area...as soon as the Earthquakes started up again in California/Mexico the swarm at the Virgin Islands stopped....there is something very widespread going on in the whole area...

if the salt dome is connected to the gulf,
would it not be possible for a current to be created.
the saltiest water from the dome flows into the gulf because it is heavier, sucking in less salty water from the gulf to the dome. pigchef

Looks like ongoing seismic activity there, worse the last couple of days.

[link to folkworm.ceri.memphis.edu]

This is the helicorder display page for University of Memphis Center for Earthquake and Information. The graphs for the sinkhole area:

LA01 BHZ GS 00 : Bayou Corne, LA

Click on it to open in a different tab or your link will disappear. There are displays for Hwy 70, which was closed for a while earlier on.

There is a continuous "rumbling". Maybe the company was right, that the seismic activity caused the collapse?
