Can somebody please explain whether:

-the dome's contents DISAPPEARED
-they settled on lower grounds
-they were never even there
-they evapourated
-they leaked into a nearby dome

If you took 60 fucking seconds, and read the fucking article, you would know that they're apparently NO AT THE BOTTOM!! THis is why it is 1,300 shallower than before.. Fucking shit man, no offense but READ!! OP posted it within the first few posts, the fact that the well has lost depth! Everything from the top fell in, and went to the bottom of the dome. It's probably earthquake related, because of gas/oil/magma movement in that area..

AN in my opinion this IS related to Simmon's theory of mega-gas deposits..

This is a salt dome and not a salt mine (A lot less open space for clean, non-brine water to fill up - So melting of the salt dome will take more time.

We should see another big sink hole open up if a second salt cavern is breached. If you hear about a second sink hole forming THEN I would bet its more likely to hear of an explosion.

It's a race between these oil companies to drain their caverns, and the ground water to eat away at the inside of the salt dome. Eventually they salt dome will totally fail, it will just depend on underground water tables and flows as to how quickly.

I have no doubt though that if there was another east coast quake right now it would speed things up immensely here.

would be an interesting twist if lava started coming up from the sinkhole area since gas is being forced out from all over the place maybe it's becoming volcanically active again.

I did see a video about a extinct(supposedly)volcano in one of the states beside Louisiana. I think Alabama or Georgia I can't remember of hand, maybe someone who knows could chime in on this thought.

Thats far too close for comfort....there has also been renewed activity again at the SOuthern end of the Salton Sea today...something is going on underneath the whole area......it can only get worse and is looking more and more like the movement of magma throughout the whole region...

and somehow it is also related to the Virgin Island area...as soon as the Earthquakes started up again in California/Mexico the swarm at the Virgin Islands stopped....there is something very widespread going on in the whole area...

if the salt dome is connected to the gulf,
would it not be possible for a current to be created.
the saltiest water from the dome flows into the gulf because it is heavier, sucking in less salty water from the gulf to the dome.

Looks like ongoing seismic activity there, worse the last couple of days.

There is a continuous "rumbling". Maybe the company was right, that the seismic activity caused the collapse?
