Some times I feel that way too,
I grew up in the 60's and saw what use to be the News every night and the vietnam war protests were on the TV daily and that Generation Did NOT GIVE UP ! They were Relentless and did Not take NO for an Answer. Somehow that Mindset is Gone in this Country and If that was Alive and Well Today I'm Sure this WAR CRAP would not be what it is Today, a lot of People have given up But not all and it seems to be Growing again but slowly. Like I said, I Some times I feel that way too But I'm Not Giving up. Stockdale had some words to say about optimism in the Hanoi Hilton. He said the guys who were optimistic were the ones who died first. His approach was that it was okay to be optimistic but it was very important to also be a realist. Or that is the gist of it as I remember.
