Thanks for all of the responses. I just got in from a late night overtime call at work, so i could not respond sooner. I am located in Pennsylvania near Philadelphia. I will post the link to the news article when it comes out. I will also put up some links so people can see the garden I am talking about.

Throw some pot seeds in their yards and call the feds, DEA or another law enforcement agency and snitch on their operation. Tell them you've seen kids coming to their doors and leaving with shopping bags full of something. And you think they planted the trees to hide something.

And make sure the local papers show up the day the authorities are at their homes jut to put some icing on the cake.

Take pictures of his license plate.

Rent the same car he has and print out a picture of his license plate so you can tape it over the one on the rental.

Now it looks like his car and license plate.

Drive through every red light camera you can find.

Go to shady areas where drug dealers and hookers hang out.....

Play his game. He wants to play dirty then play dirty.

Put a locking gas cap on his car and super glue his windshield wipers down.

Pay for strippers to show up to his house when his wife is home. Have them call his house when she is home....take pictures of different women in the rental car with his license plate.

He will be so busy with his wife busting his balls he won't have time to fuck with you.

Christ man, use your fucking brain and take the fight to him.
 Quoting: FatalW1shes

This is priceless. I LOVE the part about taking a picture of his license plate, and then renting the same make of car, with the phony plate taped on it, and then running all the red photo traffic lights... LOL!

OP, please, forget about lawyers. In your case you must contact your local media, but keep in mind that if your commissioner is democrat, you have to contact newspapers which support liberals and versa vice. Otherwise, their editors won't let reporter print your story. Also try to contact Jane Velez-Mitchell from CNN and make it National News. Jane is a big supporter of organic food and animals welfare and most likely be interested in your story. Just google her and take it from there. Good luck!

Just move and plant a new garden where you will be happy.

It's not about giving in or giving up but you really don't need the hate and stress of living between two assholes for the rest of your days.

Move somewhere that your nearest neighbors would love some garden handouts or chicken eggs.

We live in a subdivision, our yard is just barely long enough to have a chicken coup 75 feet away from a human building is the rule here. We got rid of our loud mouth Rooster and kept all the hens for eggs.
I have two huge raised garden beds and lots of fruit trees.
We get along with all our neighbors and offer them fresh eggs and things we grow.

This house belonged to my parents, it is an older home but it is grandfathered in under the older laws. :)

I hope you can find some place to be happy at, life's too short to continue on where you are now.

As a moving out gift though i would be sure to sell the house to either a large Philippine family or some loud bass musician or noisy people or maybe even some lower class race family with 8+ kids. Make them miss You :)

It still amazes me that this is the world we live in sometimes. People who hold positions of office just do whatever they want. They ignore laws and act as if they can get away with anything they want. Well, i decided to call every newspaper and television news station in my area. One newspaper is running the story tomorrow, and a second one just sent their photographer. I've had tv stations call me back and I am hoping it makes the evening news. At this point, we are going to have to get a lawyer. I know some of you could care less about an organic garden. But for me, this is about a whole lot more, such as property rights and personal freedom. And those two things are worth fighting for.
 Quoting: Kalivar

And that's just it. Nobody cares about these people in office. The majority of the people don't believe stories like this happen anywhere near them. These officials in cities, counties, etc, they're like kings. They know no one will fight against them because the people that deal with the administration is only 1% of the population. Then when you try to explain these things happen to simpletons, they'll claim that this is needed to keep those evil people out of their town, or those filthy rich people keep trying to cut corners. This is why it's so hard to win against these bureaucrats, and if you ever do, they don't care, they'll keep doing the same thing all the time.

Fight the good fight!

It is awful what they think they can do. What is worst of all, they often get their way, which is part of the reason they have their "attitudes" and pushy ways about them. Your case is especially concerning, since it is literally on your property. Make sure you get legal advice, which is often free or low-cost for these matters.

We have had to fight our local town as well, and it has not been easy.
The biggest problem with our situation is, it all started with the fact, they told us one thing and then all of a sudden were just starting to do another thing, without dully notifying us! They have no right to push us around like that. And we are now two years busy letting them legally know that.

Local municipalities and government in general should be there to serve us, the tax-paying people. Somehow over time though, they seem to be there for themselves (Not all, but enough around the world that it is sickening) and we the people are secondary. Yet WE PAY THEM.

All the best in your situation. Document everything and remember, it is a sport to them. Play to win.

Re: Township fines me $5000, claiming my garden blocks rainwater from getting to my own sewer on my property. Guess who my neighbor is?
*This story will be in a major newspaper tomorrow where I live.*

So, 3 years ago I built a pretty expansive garden on my property. I have grown just about everything. In that time, I have been able to loose over 85 pounds and get my life back on track, living a much healthier lifestyle. I was tired of being fat and unhealthy and decided that planting my own food was the best approach at changing my life. Through my garden, my mother was able to help nearly cure her diabetes after i convinced her to start eating food that i grew from my garden. Today she is off of all of her insulin and diabetic medication.

The problem? My neighbor just happens to be the commissioner in my town. My other neighbor, just happens to be his son. They have made it fairly public that they hate my garden. After i went door to door and had an overwhelming majority of people who live on my street sign a chicken petition, things started to take a curious turn. So curious that my commissioner neighbor and he son, purchased over 40 trees and planted them all in a line right along my property fence to block my garden. He then had the audacity to question my neighbors and ask them why they signed my chicken petition.

It's a long story, but to keep it short, the township sent me a letter claiming that my garden was restricting rainwater from reaching a sewer grate located on my property. We live at the bottom of a hill, so this could never physically be true. The township cites that this water restriction had been, "brought to their attention", by an unnamed source.

We sent certified letters to the township asking for proof that our garden blocks rainwater, and we also asked for proof of the complaint that was called into them. The township ignored our requests and failed to respond to any of our letters. After some time had passed, we received a letter from the township stating that if we did not remove or relocate our garden, they would begin fining us. They township code officer told us we had 7 days to respond to his letter. So, we called his office to talk to him, and what a coincidence, he just happened to go on vacation, so that we could not respond to him in the allotted time frame.

So, we ended up calling and talking to the township administrator. After a lengthy debate the township finally conceded and agreed to send an engineer to evaluate our property to prove what they were saying was true. Guess what? The engineer never came, the township never contacted us and on one fine day we received an envelope in the mail with 3 fines for nearly 700 each claiming that we were in violation for restricting/obstructing stormwater. The citations read that we had 10 days to respond and plead not guilty. Guess what? One of our citations were already 10 days old on the day that we received them. On the very next day, we received 4 more citations for again nearly 700 a piece claiming the same violations.

It still amazes me that this is the world we live in sometimes. People who hold positions of office just do whatever they want. They ignore laws and act as if they can get away with anything they want. Well, i decided to call every newspaper and television news station in my area. Very well done my friend, stay safe, keep your calm, get a good lawyer, talk to everyone you can in your area about this, spread the word, make sure the rats are smoked out of there! If ALL people would do the same, we would live in a way better world!

Good luck OP, this is wrong and you will be victorious if you stand your ground and refuse to crumble.

The politicians have the dirty tricks on their side but you have inalienable right that they don't want you to defend and they're betting you'll fold.

Keep bringing media attention on this story because it's like "daylight to cockroaches" with these scumbags.

That's a good idea... find out what race or creed your neighbors hate the most in this world and then let it slip that those are the people you will be selling your home to if they don't back off.

As much as they don't like you, they probably hate you less than a lot of other people. You just have to let them know that "dirty tricks" is not just something politicians can play and they best be leaving you alone to live in peace.

Not only trees will die but also dogs who likes the sweetness of antifreeze and will be leaking it.

OP, I think that User ID: 9231012 gave you the best advice. You still need to contact the media to get at least those township charges cancelled, but the commissioner and his son will try to make your life miserable in the future. If you decide to sell your house, someone like Octomom with her kids would be a perfect match for your nasty neighbours.

Even better! Buy a second house to live in and rent your current home out to some motorcycle-gang members, that'll get them pissed!

Yeah, but have one stipulation put into the rental lease and that is that you and your bongos are to be invited to every backyard biker party.

It's called abuse of office.

Sic the Attorney General on em.
There's always an Arquillian Battle Cruiser, or a Corillian Death Ray, or an intergalactic plague that is about to wipe out all life on this miserable little planet, and the only way these people can get on with their happy lives is that they DO NOT KNOW ABOUT IT!
