There seems to be something being lost in translation here.
Anyways, as to why there isn't any real urgency to the investigation, its because the entire story is made up.
The picture you are seeing, is fake. An obvious fake at that, just look at ANY other underwater pic for comparison.
The tale of everything from sphinxs to stonehenge being down there... Yeah.
The tale of the US exploiting the site since the 60's, more obstrucation designed to leave a sparkle of reason for why this isn't widely known.
If those two had really made a discovery so magnificent, the would have gotten funding from all over the world.
This is just more smoke and mirrors like the baltic sea anamoly.
