How many of you are guilty of telling your teenage kids to "grow up" , well this is what happens in a society that encourages girls to be adults before their time , this Megan is just a girl who has matured early and is having an adult relationship with a man , because she IS an adult.....when I was 15 I was "in the know" about certain things and was sleeping with my b/f , if I had have had the chance with a good looking older man I would have taken it!!!....I don't think she was "groomed" this man cannot be categorized the same as a man who has sex with 5/6 year old girls......its just so bloody annoying that society will NOT accept anything out of the norm , they are discussing on Sky news how Megan will or not need conselling when she gets back blah blah blah....in my opinion conselling will do her more damage than the affair....Good luck to them both I say!!!

While most schools don't have a scandal, I suspect for every case we hear about there's half a dozen more that we don't.

When I was at school it was always the immature girls who had boyfriends a lot older than them.

They attracted controlling men because they were naive and easy to manipulate.

Whatever this is...this school is finished. Who would want to send their kids to a place like that? Teachers are in positions of authority, so what does this say to the Kids there when some old boy is doing this? Imagine the horror if this teachers lover was a 15 yr old boy. This teacher is a danger to society.

This whole story is ridiculous. She is fifteen for crying out loud. In France and most of Europe she is over the age of consent, and in the UK she is just months from it. Whilst some may find this distasteful to their own sensibilities there is nothing that creepy about a fifteen year old having a sexual relationship in itself. A few hundred years ago even here in the UK she would have been married by now and probably on her second child.

The issue here is really one of the fact that she ran off with a teacher - and he was in a position of trust and responsibility. Mind you, saying that again, an ex of mine had a sister who ended up with her music teacher and is now happily married. They didn't do anything (as far as we know) when they were in school, but the age gap was about the same.

So, lets just get this straight instead of it being an hysterical witch hunt. Yes, the teacher was wrong to take advantage of his position, and yes they were wrong to run away leaving her family worried, but this is not, in any way, the same as the monsters who prey on pre-pubescent children. I also very much doubt she is now in trouble and being abused. In fact the police have stressed that they DO NOT think she is any danger.

Subjects like this always bring out hysterical reactions, but I'd question the motives for them.
