Hearing 1 or 2 RAF Typhoon's in the skies above Lincolnshire. Nothing unusual in that of itself as we have quite a few based here and they are regularly up and easily identifiable by their trademark rumbling. However, it's unusual to hear them at 10.30pm though, been hearing them for the last 10 minutes or so now. Something going off.

Military jets are flying overhead here too, never ever flown over this area in the 25 years I have been here, distant hum of choppers over the coast too.

Maybe night training or a nighttime exercise of some sort, or Russians testing our airspace again, or an untowards radar blip.

Not all that uncommon to hear Tornadoes here, on the Notts / Lincs border, don't hear Typhoons too often though. I didn't hear anything tonight though.

Or, it could just be they have gone up to intercept the Russians coming in on one of their probing flights, as they do occasionally.
