Ionospheric Storm
Total Electron Count levels very high and widespread!

[link to iono.jpl.nasa.gov]

Ionospheric storm ongoing it appears, or is the ionosphere being heated by something else? SpaceWeather.com isn't showing anything unusual, yet electron levels are in the red!

It may not be that widespread, but a large area of the ionosphere is being heated. Can't recall any past images of the TEC that were this high over such a large area. Perhaps I'm wrong though. In any case, its a bit alarming to me. How about you?

this has happened several times this summer....most times followed by quakes in that area.

wait and see if it happens again.

but this is very high TEC.

remember TEC
T= total
E= electron
C= content

check this chart out!!!!

people why don't you actually OBSERVE these things fo a long time to learn. Its always "higher" each day where the sun is, and it changes location with the tilt changes of earth. There is no significant storm going on now. a very tiny CME earlier today. really tiny.

just the lose of GOES 13 the east coast SAT and trying the best they can to back up with GOES 14.
guess after we bought all the DHS ammo no more funds for a new SAT...and we just can not go up there and fix the broken one.

Does this have the potential to affect either one of the typhoons in Asia right now? I would imagine a higher electron count would produce heat in the ionosphere, which I would imagine would help fuel the typhoons. Thoughts?

These are ionospheric F2 layer electrons that have no real source for this type of massing, when these numbers get this high there is concern

Its not doom but some of us are following many particle charts and photonic sources, alot of strange variables these days with no solid explanation. When we're concerned about something such as this there is usually alot more going into our concern than most know!Peace

the sad thing here is we can look back and only look back and see that happened before a large quake....but it might happen many times again and no quake!
but was there before most quakes.
