And the average American does or believes what the magic talking box, or celebrity du jour tells them to do. I keep reading article after article about how Romney is too cold, too this, too that. They crawl up his ass with a microscope with every comment, every act, and his past...including inventing the past. The very same media looks the other way on Zero's gaffs, policy blunders, the state of the economy, ect... Gas is back at $4 a gallon....and no one in the media is complaining about it. No blame is assigned. Guess we cant go reminding folks that fuel, food, and everything else is creeping up and will get worse now that the Fed has started another round of quantitative easing, the GDP has been revised downward for the 2nd Qtr, and durable goods are down. Cant have bad news on voters minds so close to an election. Add to all of the above the fractured and tribal nature that America has become. Blacks, whites, hispanics, gays, straights, secular, religious...all pitted against eachother instead of being American's first. Instead of putting the country first...we sink to our own debased personal, greedy, and envious needs. Its no longer "morning in America"...but the death bell ringing as we go the way of all other great civilizations. |

Had a friend report to me after attending a STRATEGY meeting for the DNC yesterday that in one state (I prefer not to mention my state, just assume it's YOUR state, as this practice is probably going on everywhere), the election organizers are worried about Tea Partiers "harrassing" voters into not voting. <???> It seems they are convinced Tea Partiers will show up in SUITS, and that will intimidate lower-income or minority voters into NOT going in to vote. * That wouldn't be anything like NBP members showing up in military garb to intimidate folks, would it??? Anyway, they were saying that in order to PREVENT "voter intimidation" by Tea Party types, they want to bring in PAROLEES to "guard" the polling places. PAROLEES!!! I thought most parolees weren't even allowed to vote?!?! Had lost their rights to vote?!?!?! So WHY THE HELL would they suddenly have the right to be the "foxes guarding the hen houses"??? Second strategy was to send black pastors to their churches under a program called "Souls to the Polls." Sounds innocuous enough......except they are going to MAKE SURE THEY GET TO THE POLLS TO VOTE FOR OBAMA. Again, nothing new here, but it is illegal to tell people who to vote for from the pulpit (remember? separation, church/state thingy, tax-exempt-therefore-do-not-preach-on-politics, etc). Rules only apply to their opponents. |
