[ link to blog.sfgate.com] this woman sounds like a real asshole. but to be arrested for mocking something on fb seems pretty outlandish to me. "A Kentucky woman received jail time after posting a Facebook comment mocking a DUI charge, Patrick Jones reports. Paula Asher was allegedly drinking and driving when she side-swiped another vehicle and was arrested. She later posted the following comment on Facebook: “My dumb (expletive) got a DUI and hit a car LOL.” A judge ordered her to take down her Facebook page, and when Asher did not comply, she was held in contempt of court and ordered to spend two days in jail." that cannot be legal to arrest someone for saying that??? She was arrested for drinking and driving. She hit another car while intoxicated. The judge ordered that she take down her facebook page as part of her probation (this part, I am at odds with) and she left it open and typed that. She was in contempt of court for violating a court order. She could have challenged it before and did not and then disobeyed. I hate prohibition of the first amendment but this is not the landmark case. She blatantly disobeyed after having the chance to disagree with the rule. I assure you, she was an idiot and the judge was not a Muslim trying to ban free speech. Linky Stinky
