ISRAELS RED LINE - 225kg of 19.75% Low Enriched Uranium


I have spent the last hour or so trawling technical reports and this is what I have concluded concerning Israel's stated red line at the UN today.

The bottom line is Iran will achieve 225kg of 19.75 % LEU, enough material to produce 25kg High Enriched Uranium (HEU) at 90% in about February 2013 at current processing rates.

If Iran increases its production (Likely) Iran would have enough material for one nuclear weapon by the end of 2012.


Breakout time to achieve 90% (HEU) is a matter of 6 - 8weeks from 19.75% (LEU) once they decide to go for it based on current capacities, this could be reduced even further if capacity is increased (likely).
