No satellite communications, no internet, no TV, it would take us a good decade to get back to the 1950s. In the interim, a billion or so people die of mass starvation. The world as we know it, is a digital world. Modern farming, medicine, public safety all very vulnerable to disruption. I would like to think, that if such an event occurred, that would knock out other than 1st world countries, that they would fair better... wait.. Ok, not that modern history has seen any solar related that could "destroy us" today, if one (did)... Then I yes many would die globally from starvation and because of disrespectful ego filled fucks like me, but I would think those in 3rd world countries would fair better, survival wise, then us 1st world sheeple... You are right. Since I moved here 6 years ago. I never bought any food frozen.packaged, and never been in a grocery store. Food is all fresh from the source daily and has zero as in 0 reliance on energy be it electric or via fuel, like gasoline or diesel. Mig Yes this is very true I meant something exciting as in a UFO or an eclipse nothing that would cause harm, but you are very right the economy is shit and our state and the cities within it are run by gansters and thugs and two of our major cities Detroit and Flint are practically warzones and are out of control. I went to Downtown Detroit a few days ago and it was honestly sad looking around. Its really a shame. But theres always a bright day to look forward to. Things need to get bad before they can get better.  |
