I think its become much cooler to hate on Apple than to like them. Things have swung too far the other way, mob mentality. They're not the image of perfection that the extreme fans think they are nor are they the evil entity that so many have come to think of them as (at least no more than any profit driven corporation). Human behavior, so interesting to watch.

i noticed last night that the official youtube app was missing from the ipad after updating the OS. gonna have to use a 4th party product!!!

Don't forget though, plenty of us saw right through the fad to begin with. I've never owned an Apple product and I don't ever need to. This isn't a pro-Android or pro-Windows rant either, so simmer down fanboys. I've used plenty of Macs, Windows machines, Linux boxes and my personal fav, FreeBSD workstations over the years. Apple believes the users are idiots who cannot think for themselves, and that rubs a LOT of computer people the wrong way. They also believe that knowledge is something to be locked up and controlled - and let's be honest, neither Apple nor anyone else would be where they are without the decades of knowledge sharing in the computer world that took place. Of course, Apple is not alone in this obviously (don't get me started on Microsuck), but currently, they are contending for largest offender.

An astute observation of today's instant fame society. People do this to celebrities, politicians, royalty, and just about anything else that holds their attention more than a nanosecond. It's like "Look! Oh wow! It's too cool, so let's find a reason to hate it, them, that way of life, and etc., etc., etc.

Really? I went from my Droid to the Iphone and I must say after a year with the 4S I have had zero problems. I can't say the same when I had my Droid.

EXACTLY Like Microsoft and K-Mart!

What the moronic don't get is Apple's control of the software and hardware has produced an end product the quality far exceeds anything the open source PC market has produced. I'm an IT engineer and although the PC market rules the world, its' waning. Windows technology is so full of bugs they're constantly plugging holes in it and the Virus' writers have a field day with it. Not so with OsX. There are viruses, but far fewer and less invasive. Then the quality of the hardware by comparison, well, there is NO comparison and if you don't think so, then you've never spent any time with a Mac.

What I love is the Mac haters that have never used one. I've used both Android and iOS/iPhone and prefer the iPhone hands down, simply because it's always rock solid and the icloud syncing between devices is fast, simple and effective. Google's is a convoluted pain in the ass. Jobs kept Apple Customer-centric as well as delivering high quality and innovation. tim cook, not so much. I'm pissed off at Apple due to the change in the dock interface on the iPhone to the point that I canceled my iPhone 5 order flat. My 4S runs just fine.

Google/Android has its fans, Windows does too, Linux REALLY does and for good reason. The point is, everyone has their favorites for whatever reason that appeals to them and that's why all these products do so well. The morons that talk down about Apple amuse me because they're standing on that point due to ignorance, not experience. But, that's often times the problem with forums like these, the idiots are thick as thieves.

This is why I bought a google phone(Galaxy Nexus). Galaxy Nexus runs everything google!!!

in fact, the browser works better because searches are more consistent with browser searches on other platforms like a desktop. the app never gave consistent results using the same search criteria. i just hate apple deciding whats best for me after i dump money on their product.

They use PC hardware for fuck sake. Intel processors, Ati and nvidia graphics chipsets. The same memory, foxconn motherboards... I mean get real the only thing better is the aesthetics and construction of the case and the OS. As for me i'll stick to my PC running Linux and you can be a whatever it is that you are.

I never understood all these hate towards Apple. I've been thinking about it and there are several reasons that I have identified about these people who spew their hatred towards Apple.

1. The people who can't afford Apple products.
They have to buy cheap knockoffs from Samsung, HTC and this inferiority complex leads them to hate Apple and the people who buy Apple products. Apple offers the best products in the industry and boohoo to people who have to whine and cry because they can't afford it.

2. The people who have never used Apple products.
Once you have used Apple products, you will be a believer, a follower and a lover of Apple products. Their products makes your life so simpler and convenient. Anyone who has used Windows know what I mean. Just how many hours have you lost trying to fix or customize your windows? The frustration, anguish and grief all because MS forced a worthless OS down our throats.

3. The people who hate America.
They hate Apple simply because it's the best company in the world that is based in the US.

4. The people regretting their decision to buy a non-Apple product.
Throwing tantrums will not make your inferior product better. Just ditch it or refund it and buy an Apple product.

5. The outsiders
We all know the cool, the rich, the famous people use Apple products, but the losers, they couldn't bring themselves to buy Apple products even though they wanted to.

Stop the whining. It's pathetic. Owning Apple products has nothing to do with being a sheeple. It's about the jealousy, the inferiority complex and the insecure losers of the world who hate Apple products and the people who use these awesome devices.
