A long time ago I found myself 15 and pregnant. I hid it from my mom I was so scared. We were not poor. My boyfriend of 1 year that was in 20 broke up with me an hour before he was going to take me to get an abortion. My mom found the paper that said I was pregnant. She tried to talk me out of it but I was scared and just wanted it done. It was a late term abortion and the nurse warned me that little hands and feet might come out in the next two weeks. I stayed in bed those two weeks crying and feeling awful. To this day especially now that I have my own children I am haunted by that decision. I wish I never had an abortion. Most women I have talked to that had abortions at young ages have emotional trauma. When you grow up and understand what you did it hurts. It's haunting. Wow, what a sad story.  I hope you continue to heal. I also hope other women out there read this, and take it to heart. There are many consequences to our actions....some unforseen. Thanks for sharing. |
