Since if it wasn't for this 1.6 Trillion Per Year Deficit, there would be NO RECOVERY!!!

Which of course (and I shouldn't even have to say this) without real economic growth from private industry, is totally unsustainable and only worsening the problem in the end...

I've been getting 5%+ pay increases every year. Of course it doesn't equate to that when you figure rising prices of food and gas.

Yeah, 5% doesn't do much when the real rate of inflation(the inflation taking into account housing, energy, and food, the three catagories they remove from CPI) is running 6+%

All this increased Govt spending and Social Security Recipients haven't had a cost of living adjustment for four years now...

I haven't seen a raise in 4.5 years.... I am not better off, but then I knew that would happen when they elected this jackass.

Looks like you are in the majority when it comes to stagnate or falling wages though...

I guess it doesn't pay to be on the winning team in this case...

This whole recovery business has been a sham, I saw a stat that in 2010 for every $1.00 of govt spending we were only gaining .06 cents in GDP.

In 1987 for every $1.00 of govt spending we had $4.60 worth of GDP...

That means there is no private industry component to this recovery, which means its all on the backs of the taxpayers (the middle class and the wealthy)...

And Jobless Recovery...what a bunch of horseshit that was...

I think I'll try to make a poem out of that, EBT Recovery...that's catchy!

Husband and I make about 45,000 a year, which is actually more than a few years ago, but that's because I'm working now (was staying at home with the kids for awhile) and both of us got better paying jobs. I know that's not the case for everyone though, and even with that - 45K isn't a lot.

Actually, Social Security DID give us a COLA (cost of living allowance) this past year. I believe it was 3%. And they lowered (just a few dollars) what we pay into Medicare each month.
