Currently, the "Entebbe" and airstrike options are currently slated to both take place simultaneously.
A large and operation specific commando unit will be sent in two groups. The main force and one smaller forward reconnaissance group. The reconnaissance force will also be involved in a misdirection strategy and will most likely face heavy losses in comparison with the main strike force.
The airstrike will take place when the reconnaissance group begins its misdirection attack. The airstrike will initially provide close air support in combination with the commando raid in addition to removing air defences. The secondary wave will be responsible for remnant target destruction and extraction protection.
The commando unit still may be removed at the last moment depending on final intelligence (but left on hot mission standby) if Israel decides to employ a pure airstrike option and expend a large portion of their Deep Throat arsenal.
Quoting: 535 1326993 well, not sure if this is the real 535, but if it is, long time no hear, though I have to admit I haven't frequented here in a while...
I would surmise this is a suicide mission, with so many things required to operate with swiss watch precision. We found out about landing in the desert in 1979, and THAT aspect alone doomed that mission. Landing a C-130 is entirely a different matter than a few helicopters, and that would ASSUME they have no radar, advanced warning, SAM's or other defensive weapons...
regardless, I would think the whole damn world will come down on the Iranians like a beast from hell the moment the "test" their device...
otherwise, it will be a mexican standoff, and that is not a good outcome, regardless of who is pointing what, at who...
as for all us watching with baited breath, I wonder of your past threads and what you talked about your group, and what they were preparing to do, to save humanity, from what is coming..
any comments on that?
