lolz the shark likes the sensation on his teeth
and he obviously isnt hungry when the fish does it the
first time and
if the pain of the sharks gums is getting reduced
it could have been noticable before he decided to give
up and eat teh fish
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 15993527 LOL, so this species-wide symbiotic relationship caught on before the shark got hungry again? Turbo-Evolution? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 23223519 Natural selection does not require conscious choice, and it is not in any way responsive to learned behavior. Not even Lysenko went that far. It is statistical. More of the sharks that for whatever reason of their own didn't chomp went on to breed. Except that, many cases of cleaner fish are actually social learned behavior; there is no genetic component. Doesn't invalidate the first point; it is still statistically, not built on "hopeful monsters" or other defined single pioneers, and the result does not require consciousness of any causal connection.
