Message Subject i just wept over watching a moth die

it had landed in some water and one of its wings was practically destroyed. it was making a pathetic attempt to fly, batting its wings and slowly crawling along. i put my finger in front of it and it crawled onto it, and it seemed to look at me as if asking for help, then it fell to the ground and stopped moving. tears formed in my eyes and i began to weep.

is it a sign of an underlying mental issue to have such strong emotions over an insect?

Today things are changing at a very high rate. You are being woken up to the fact that all life is just as important as any other life. A bug in the eyes of a bug is important and plays a huge roll in this entire "system." You are feeling the true connectedness of it all. You and that bug can share love...and you can feel sorrow for the loss of that little guy too. Just as much as a person. We are at a point that more people need to think like this. We need to realize just how important all life is!

I think the OP needs to not get so emotionally traumatized by everyday occurrences in nature. He would literally go mental if he had that kind of empathy for all living things.

Some things are out of our control. We don't need to put that on ourselves.
