It's like a StarGate episode where Daniel is talking to Dr. Rodney McKay. An explosion goes off and Rodney thinks that they should go see what it is and if anyone needs help, but Daniel says "Why does everyone want to rush to the place when something happens like that, I would go the other way and make sure that there was Security in the other places". They are on a planet taken there by the bad sect of the Asgards wanting to use the ATerro Device (something like that) which disputes The Wraith hyperdrive and blows up the ship as soon as they try and enter hyperspace. The Asgards don't care that it blows up stargates anytime a person may dial a stargate in the galaxy along with blowing up the Wraith because they are the last of their kind (the good ones died from a disease) and they are determined to get rid of the Wraith in the Pegasus Galaxy so they can find a place to live because the Planet they are on now is toxic and for 10000 years it has been getting worse. But then Daniel and Dr. McKay are alone in the complex now because the Asgards have left with the hand device that controls the ATerro Device and without it they have to pull a control crystal in a room that unleases weird kind of lightning while the device is on and they may get struck by the discharge between kind of tower antenna (small) which Daniel does get hit before Dr. McKay turns off the device by pulling the right crystal card in the room.

Well, it's an episode from StarGate Atlantis.

The moral is that you never rush to see what is happening, you hunker down and wait it out especially if you are not involved and save yourself.
