Sorry, to correct you: your title is absolutely wrong.

The magnitude (brightness) scale is not linear, it's logarithmic.

That means an object with Mag -2 is 2.512 times brighter than an object with Mag -1.

Regarding C/2012 S1:
Estimated peak brightness at perihelion: Mag -13
Brightness Sun: Mag -26.7

Brighness of the comet compared to the sun: 1/400,000
Or, in other words, the sun is 400,000 times brighter than the comet not 2 times as stated in the title.

No second sun - doom off

Well, the sky is blurred out today in an odd unnatural haze in central Alabama.

They chemtrailed the crap out of us yesterday. There were no less than 4-5 visible planes going at any given moment and today you can see a brighter spot but you can't even see the sun.

Hmmm...
