All of the cars were illegally searched basically due to threatening the people at gunpoint. As of today it has hit national news FINALLY! It is on HLN today...there is not a link on HLN for it yet. I will post it once they have it on their site. They are showing it on HLN TV. This shit was posted back when it happened The reason for the old story is because the residents who were detained have hired a civil attorney and it has finally hit national news in a way people are paying attention. There are civil lawsuits now. So yeah, old story but there is new news to this old story. Not to mention CNN is the first and only national television station who started airing info on it just last night and today. I also used the search function on GLP to add to a thread instead of creating my own and I could not find one. |

Second, if you read the links or watched the video you would see that the people who were illegally detained for 2 hours at gun point have hired a civil attorney at this point so there is NEW information to this old news story. In addition, it is being aired on CNN now and being given more attention than it ever was. CNN started airing information on it last night and today for the first time due to the civil attorney who has been hired. The point of the story is the cops illegally detained 40 individuals and illegally searched 19 cars and due to them handling the situation in an illegal manner the evidence they recovered can be thrown out. So in other words, they stopped 19 cars, illegally detained 40 people at gunpoint...yeah they found their guy but the evidence they recovered can be thrown out and he may not be charged with a thing due to how they illegally handled the situation. So they really didn't catch anybody at all...when they don't have a stitch of evidence in the end and the robber gets away with it. |
