History channel has been known to distort a lot of things in their documentaries. Stone workers today can duplicate a lot of the old world stone carvings. Otherwise rich folks wouldn't be purchasing their $100k+ gargoyles, fountains and so on for their gardens. Feed the hungry, visit the sick, free a captive if he be unjustly confined(kidnapped/enslaved by someone).
