There is a fault line that goes between Dallas and Fort Worth. Here's a map that shows them.

Hey, Borian! Haven't run into you in awhile. My daughter and her family live up that way. Too close for gramma's comfort!LOL I found these when I was trying to find fault lines out here.

Good to see you again. I didn't realize we had any fault lines around here, but yep, I'd bet fraking has caused it.

About 10:40 central ther was some weird lightining over west
Plano Texas. It looked like Ball lightning or a transformer blew.I was in North Dallas and it didnt appear to be 7 to ten miles north.Maybe as close as gw bush @75 It waa blue, round and close to the ground,It lit 15% of the sky I saw it flash at least 3 times.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 5432358

Damm. I would love to have seen that. We have some massive lightning storms, but have only seen ball lightning twice.

My dog has been acting up for the past 24 hours, crying, barking, pacing, tearing his toys up, etc. After the quake he curled up on the kitchen floor and went to sleep. Apparently he's a pretty good quake dog. But..if I lived in California where things shake all the time I would probably have to shoot him..and myself too!

They look like 2 different eq's. Look at the coordinates and the distances from the epicenter. The time is different, also. Yicks, I hope nothing is getting started.

My daughter lives in Irving. When the quake hit, she thought someone was running up and down the hall and stairs of her apartment complex...twice. One of her dogs was going bonkers during the shake, but then calmed down.

I just checked the NSGS site and discovered there was a 3.1 near Irving Texas and a 3.4 near University Park.

Interesting. And not good, either.

Something strange is underfoot.

The engravings translate to "This space intentionally left blank."

The prayer is inscribed in an ancient script, rarely used today. It seems to be a philippic against small insects, absent-mindedness, and the picking up and dropping of small objects.

The gate is open; through it you can see a desolation, with a pile of mangled bodies in one corner. Thousands of voices, lamenting some hideous fate, can be heard.
The way through the gate is barred by evil spirits, who jeer at your attempts to pass.
