Actually, it does affect you. We developed a life saving drug that cost us under $1.00USD to manufacture and was approved by the FDA. Unfortunately it cost the patient over $350.00USD for a 30 day supply. The UK wanted to buy it but only wanted to pay $5.00USD. Our company refused. As a result over 500 people die every year in the UK because they don't have access to this drug. Not judging here, and I think its horrible you don't have the drug over there but that's the reality...

So OP,

Your company ALLOWS 500 people to DIE every year, instead of making a 400% profit by selling a drug for $5.

And you stayed at that company for 20 years? You have no soul. How could you continue to work for the devil?

Your company could have GIVEN the patent to the country and saved lives instead of PREVENTING them (through patent protection) from making the pill themselves. That is pure evil - and you are part of it.

Sleep well...
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 2257547

I did not sleep well when I was with this company. I was in fact with 8 different PHARMA companies. I resigned from this company after only 2 years.

Do drug reps exchange sex for drs promise to push their product? Beside smoozing with free lunch, is sex also a bonus?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 6069405

Sex is not the norm, but it is not uncommon. When Pharma switched from scientific based reps to the Barbie and Ken model, sex was inevitable.

Most reps today have no concept of the science behind the med - they are taught exactly what to say, but don't know why they are saying it. A very pathetic group to say the least.

Hello,

Can you share some of things that may have surprised you working within big pharma?

Also can you share some of the background info from within that may show light on how they have become so large, influential, giants?

Are reoccurring revenues from products more important than actually cure people from such perspective?

Thank you.

If this is true, then you have my respect. I was with a GREAT company for many years (rose very high in the ranks) but we were then bought out by GSK.
I only stayed long enough to find another source of income. Leaving Pharma was the best decision I ever made.

Hello,

Do you have any information regarding vaccines that people from the outside of such organizations would not have knowledge of?

Also do working for such organizations involve heavy non-disclosure agreements, and if so why do you feel that is, and also how would it relate to such a thread as this?

Thank you.

Re: Overt satanism

Curiously, "UN" is an ancient word for "satan" so this question could go many ways...

but mostly I want to know if you are aware of the impurities in the vaccines and that they are causing microscopic strokes, which is a prime cause of autism and strokes generally, according to some...?

as well, any "secret meetings," overt compartmentalization that could be construed as sinister?

:)

thanks!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 4616787

vaccines are a tricky thing. The "active ingredient" is always pure, its the "inactive" or vector that you have to be concerned about. Sometimes in manufacturing a vaccine things do go wrong. We don't know it until it is shipped and administered. Personally, knowing what I know about vaccines, I don't take them, not even a flu shot. On "secret meetings" I have no knowledge. Sorry.

If there were, Pharma would be selling the cure for $100K per patient. If they can make money, they will be all over it. Nothing else matters.

There is no way you could hide a cure for cancer - too many people are involved in the research departments. Nobody works in a dark corner alone.

On the surprise side, I a was with a company that actually pulled a drug from the FDA submission process (on a volentary basis) because they discoverd a slight error in the data they submitted. There was NO WAY the FDA would have discovered it. The company spent over 100MM to bring it to market.

They are large and influential because they make billions!

At this point I am inclined to believe that profit before patient is the new norm.

Yes. Sometimes less then pure batches would be sent to the Thrid World rather than for US distribution.

Mostly I signed non-compete clauses. The only non-disclosure I signed was when I went into marketing and biz dev.

Re: I worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 20 years. Ask me a question
Guys, please let not ask this guy questions he can't answer like about Satan and the antichrist. We finally got a real insider to answer our questions and curiosities!

So, how are psychiatric drugs exactly manufactured when they don't know what chemical imbalances are exactly causing the dysfunction? And why do so many of these drugs use fluoride as a component, like Prozac? Is it true that they have an effect on some glands of the body, like the pineal gland, hampering the natural production of melatonin and the like?

Also, are there instances were big pharma knows of cheap cures for certain diseases, but chooses to ignore them and sell the more expensive ones? For example, is niacin really helpful in stopping addiction to substances, as some claim?

thanks in advance.

Forgot to ask, how much do big pharma hate the Indian companies that produce the same drugs for pennies? and does big pharma have a point in hating on them? What ways would you suggest so that we can stop the evil of big pharma? For example, should all drug research be funded publicly and that's it, eliminating big pharma except for the development of generics?

Please don't assume that every pharma insider knows everything about every drug on the planet.

They may know everything about the med they are responsible for, as well as the competitors in that class - but are not exposed to "secrets" in an area outside their specific responsibility.

Only suppling the missing nutrients will cure cancer.

Great question! on average it takes PHARMA 8-10 years to bring a drug to market from molecule to market and costs around 100MM with NO guarantee of FDA approval. PHARMA will patent a molcule from day one which means only 10 years or so on the market generating revenue before the patent expires. Most patens are for 20 years then it goes generic. All revenue has to be made in that time, thus the VERY agressive marketing. They also have to make up for all the money spent on drugs that never come to market.

Actually most generics are made in the US. Those made in India are mostly for use under license for OUTSIDE the US.

Public funding would be a disaster to the industry and for patients as well!
