U.S. MILITARY DEATHS IN AFGHANISTAN HIT 2,000

While every time a human loses his life it is a sad occasion, I cannot feel too extremely sorry for the soldiers... their families... a little more, as they lost loved ones.

The truth of the matter is, our soldiers over there are an entirely volunteer force. They knew what they were doing when they joined the military, and knew that they would be putting their lives on the line.

The most amount of sympathy I can muster for the soldiers is that they have to endure hell and try to act like they are truly fighting for the freedom of US citizens, when nobody can really say why they are there in any convincing manner.

To anyone saying bad things about veterans on this board and any other-

Enjoy the Hell that's coming stranger.

And because its not 50,000 dead like in Vietnam.

Bring our troop home, enough already !

The manufacturers of war weapons care not who wins or loses, nor who loses their lives. Men, women, children, soldiers - mean absolutely nothing to them.

I'd bet the children of Afghanistan are not digging bones from the graveyards to make a nice soup stock anymore like they were after the taliban intentionally destroyed all the food in the campaign to bring the Afghan people to their knees.

Schools, hospitals, clinics, roads, bridges, internets, electricity, clean water, and an Army to protect the country from the real enemies of Afghanistan.. are all eeevvviiiiil!
