I was talking to a pastor from England the other day and I asked him why you Catholics don't want to modernize. He said he wasn't Catholic so I said well you don't use the Islam or Hindu calendar for your religion you use the Pope Gregory VIII 1582 AD Catholic religion Gregorian calendar. So he is thinking about things now.

I understand what you are saying. This has nothing to do with the Bible or Christian practice since the calender is not used.

God's law has a 7th day Sabbath which is based on the weekly cycle not any calender.

The pope can rule the empire, or the Muslim rule the empire, while Christians live in their territory. The names of the days of the week change but they are still 7 day week cycles and always have been.

Christians will not unite with error, whether Catholic or Muslim, under any calender. Also, understand changing of times is not the thing to do. We are to remember the weekly cycle and preserve it.

4th day of the week
5th day of the week
preparation day
Sabbath

You are aware how many languages remember the 7th day of the week as "sabbath"?

The Spanish, even some Muslims call the 7th day Sabbath, in their own language.
