Ahmadinejad's full CNN interview with Piers Morgan! They never let the man answer a question!

Now here is a full transcript of his UN speech last week.

Piers Morgan is usually OK but changed since moving to the staes. He was the chief editor for the mirror (newspaper) in the UK. He was fired for printing torture & abuse pictures by the coalition forces in Iraq very early on when it was not fashionable to disagree with status quo. Hounded till he lost his job.

Watched parts of the interview.
Ahmadinejad comes across (to me,)as evasive,devious,of low intelligence,backwards(extremely backwards in fact,)and fairly harmless.(and overwhelmingly he is so stone age!)
The interviewer came across as weak but perhaps he was under instructions to accord the pres.some dignity.

Just finished watching it... He did dance around some of the questions and was pretty obvious about it, but in the end he managed to make me rethink my conception of his leadership.

Bold move doing an interview like that. It would suggest he suspects war on the horizon and is trying to diffuse American involvement.

If he keeps up the image and can get more exposure over the next month or so... That just might work in his favor...

i dont think piers morgan really gets it. Idk why people are so afraid of ahmadinejad. He just isnt scary to me.

Evasive: not so. Some people like to paint a picture of their side of thinking before answering a question outright. This gives a better chance of the opponents understanding the viewpoint.

Devious and harmless? surely those two things are not mutually compatible.

Backwards? you are probably a shill.

Low intelligence? he is a scholar, which even the interviewer points out. University professor in a past life among other things. Iran is actually a pretty tech-savvy and luxury savvy country (ie tehran) for anyone that is a scholar to be of "low intelligence."

I also watched the whole thing.

I feel like Ahmad pulls facts out of his rear end and find him to be as geniune as a pirated DVD. Not too much I can agree with.

I always try to keep in mind that Ahmad is only a figure head. The real deal in Iran is the supreme leader. Ahmad is just a puppet.

My fascination comes from the content of his UN speech, if you bothered to read it in it's entirety, and the fact that the CNN interview keeps getting deleted off this site! It's pissing someone off and they obviously don't won't it to get airplay. He is a very intelligent person.

Few in this world attain the degrees he has in physics for one.

He did a great job on that interviewer. Did you see his face ...he looked shocked at many of his come backs...


I don't dislike him and I think the Iranian people are for the most part intelligent and nice people...

I've never like this guy. However this interview was great. He showed himself, both in demeanor and in the substance of his answers, to be better than the propagandist asking him questions.

Never liked him huh?

So, what has he done to you? Because, I can personally say this...

1. he's not in any wars
2. he hasn't bankrupted the world with fractional reserve policies
3. he hasn't bombed our country, or anyone else's for that matter
4. he doesn't have INTERNATIONAL human rights violations.
5. his country has not participated in any armed conflicts with neighboring countries.
6. his ideologies have NOT caused the U.S. any disruptions.

In my personal opinion, he's nothing more than a well-paid, highly needed, middle eastern boogeyman. They use him when they need a diversion while they continue to financially bankrupt the entirety of civilization.

All fine points. Yes, my negative attitude may be solely the result of intentional mistranslations and media lies.

All the attention is on the presidential debate tonight where the same hate between parties prevails like in the middle east or elsewhere when you think about it; do you have that dichotomy of opinion down under?
