All the exotic doom has you feeling down. Real doom is at our doorstep even now, but there'll be no adventure to it. Economic doom is coming, but it won't be some big event on live TV where one day everything is fine and the next we're eating canned food by an open campfire.

No. This doom is creeping and if one isn't looking they'll not even see it. Prices will slowly, but steadily climb. Unemployment will get higher. Crime will increase. Once or twice there will be a precipitous fall that will be lively, but possibly no single event that leaves everything different the next day.

Prepare for food and energy shortages. Prepare to survive in a violent world full of misery, hunger, and hopelessness.

This will come true soon. It is coming true now.

There will be no revolution. At least not in Asia. We are all conditioned to accept shit, and it has been our way of life for thousands of years.

You people in the west have become the same too. Look at Spain, where thousands of people cannot fight a few hundred cops. Americans, British...Europeans, all the same.

Very few "awake" ones on this forum will revolt violently, preferring others to do it, while they "watch" and "prep". Think I don't know?

At the same time, lots of shills have been spreading disinformation on this forum and elsewhere, so much so that so many believed 2012 was the end, when it's far from it. I have to praise TPTB in this regard, because they are way ahead of, and in this game.

My conclusion after so many years is: There will be NO sudden world ending shit, just slow, gradual descent into greater immorality, idiocy, despair, and despondency for the majority of humans on this earth. That much I can sense, and I know many of the "sheeple" feel and sense it too, but know they are powerless to do anything about it.

Although part of me agrees with you, I would have expected things to happen by now, on the flip side there's just too many "potentials" for nothing at all to happen.

I'm in the UK, and my #1 isn't what Obama's going to do, or in fact WW3 (which for the first time in a long time will not have Europe as it's central theatre), but the Euro collapse and with it the collapse of the UK economy.

The riots of last year revealed to many outside the UK just how fractured our society is, it only needs the slightest of nudges to go down that path big time.

Spain, Greece and to a lesser extent Portugal are at the beginning of a very scary path, and France is at the event horizon, one wrong step and they'll follow them, and France is just as fractured as the UK.

Then there's China's strategic supply lines, and the US strategy to disable them by disabling (or getting on side) the countries along the route, China know's whats up, it's only going to allow itself to be pushed so much and then it will push back.

Russia under Putin are heading back to their fighing peak, I can't imagine the fall of Syria and Iran (which will happen) will go unforgotten (though it may not be immeadiately responded to).

And all that ignores local strife, Pakistan vs India, Japan vs China etc.....

Finally there's all this crustal displacement stuff going on (some very good factual posts on this on GLP), where's that going to end up ?

So, doom will happen, throw out the December 21st date, that was all BS anyway.

For me, I shall keep my preps until July 2013, and if there's nothing by then, then I'm gradually going to wind them down as the expiration dates comes up.

Just keep an eye on China. They are in Asia and have 20 million extra men that have no hope for ever getting married, since all their sisters have been murdered.

As for the OP, you are already prepped and ready. So now take it easy and enjoy life.

Doom will come all on it's own. If TS doesn't hit the fan globally, then you will experience a hurricane/tornado/windstorm/ice storm/blizzard/job loss/etc. Or maybe someone you know will, and you will be able to be the hero by showing up with food when others have none.

Keep prepping as food/gas/untility prices will rise in increments so you don't notice how lighter your wallet is getting.

They've had lots of experience at this over the last 2 centuries and will only bring on revolutions/riots when it's in their own best interest.

I'm beginning to believe that they don't want total chaos but CONTROLLED CHAOS.

there have been times when i have felt similar " what the fuk am i doing" but i have to admit. being prepared for everything except " a asteroid direct hit" does take a wonderful amount of stress off.

i can jump on GLP and joke around, play and have a genuine good time here. non-preppers are always on edge. hostile and in continual attack mode. because they know IF anything did happen they are fucked.

Op, the point of being prepared is so you can chill out and enjoy your life. You started because you were worried. You are no longer worried, not because nothing will happen, but because you are prepared.

It is YOU that changed, not the world.

The financial system has made it through terrible times in the past (the great depression). We've been through WW1 and WW2 not to mention various other large scale wars. These are not doomsday events.

These are doomsday events. Some are a little more "out there" than others. There are surely many more.
