That would be a Valued Added Tax , it's up on the table as we speak. It would be added to the other taxes not replace them.

10% percent of the 47% pay no federal income tax because they are retired or elderly, and Social Security payments are not taxed.

Only 6.9% of people who are non-elderly don't pay income tax.

We no longer have a middle class that is stable and by the end of the day the rich are going to have to be the ones to dish out the money to pay for what ever the government needs to do (War, investments, country wide developments). not entirely true all federal employees pay income tax but they pay it out of money paid for with the 53% of working people taxed funds if you add that percentage of non contributors the 47% would increase. like taking water from one end of the pool and filling the other end. it is a broken system. specially considering at the rate of government growth.

I served my country in the U.S. Army, after that I hauled goods all across the country, earning 60k and paying a lot in taxes, under Republican presidents. I worked all my life, am 50 years old now and am disabled on SSDI which I paid into for many years, thank you. I do Not pay income taxes now. Instead I hardly survive on SSDI, still pay $100/month in Medicare premiums, don't receive food stamps, and live month-to-month. I do remember a country that was good to work in before all our money and jobs got out-sourced overseas by Greedy fuckers like Romney. FUCK Romney and the horse he rode in on. How did he get his wealth? By sticking it to Americans. He claims he is more American and Obama is more European? WEll then why doesn't Romney keep his money in America? More tax shelters for billionaires. That is all Romney is about. Care about America? I think not. 47% or whatever.

If you make 6100 and only bring home 3100 you are either incredibly stupid, or else you are single and the "other" deductions you have are not taxes.

So find it incredible or whatever but there are those who came before you who made it possible for you to earn what you do, Moran. So STFU and be thankful you have an income and are ABLE to work.
